December Product Release: Capture More Capital and Keep Your Raise Moving

2025 has been a monumental year for the DealMaker platform with a host of big product upgrades. Every launch supports our mission of helping you raise capital faster, smarter, and with greater confidence. If you haven't already, be sure to check out everything DealMaker released in November

We're closing out the year with two significant new features that address critical moments in your fundraising journey. Whether you're running your first crowdfunding campaign or managing a Reg A offering, these updates are designed to help you capture more capital and spend less time finding information.

Amplify Your Raise:
Capture More Capital from Investors Who Are Ready to Act

When it comes to capital raising, momentum is everything. The best time to capture more investment is when your investors are most excited, most confident, and most ready to act. This month's first feature is designed to help you do exactly that.

Reinvestments:

Turn Investor Momentum into Funded Capital

TLDR: Reinvestments lets investors who have already funded an investment in your raise invest again in the same deal in just a few clicks, without re-entering information or re-uploading documents. In just three weeks of deployment, the Reinvestments feature generated nearly $298,000 in additional capital raised. This represented roughly 6% of total capital raised on those deals during that period, achieved without any additional advertising spend. This is pure efficiency: more capital from investors you've already acquired.

This is a significant platform enhancement that makes it dramatically easier for investors who have already completed an investment in your raise to invest again in the same deal. If an investor funds their investment and then thinks, "I want to invest more," the Reinvestments feature lets them "top up" in just a few clicks, without starting over, re-entering their information, or re-uploading documents.

How Reinvestments Works

The new investor experience is seamless:

  1. Access the Deal: The investor navigates to your deal checkout page, whether through a marketing email, a bookmark, or any access link.
  2. Verification: They enter their email address and receive a one-time password to verify their identity.
  3. Welcome Back: The system recognizes them as an existing funded investor and presents a personalized welcome screen: "Welcome back, [Name]. Invest more."
  4. Select Amount: The investor clicks to invest more and specifies their additional investment amount.
  5. Proceed to Payment: They are taken directly to payment. All personal information is pre-filled from their previous investment.
  6. Complete: Payment is processed, and a new investment record is created.

The entire process happens in a few clicks, without re-entering personal information, addresses, or payment details. KYC documents and verification from the original investment carry forward automatically.

What Reinvestments Means for You

Capture More Capital from Existing Investors: Motivated investors can now act on their intent immediately, without barriers. This means more capital raised from your existing, already-converted investor base.

Zero Additional Acquisition Cost: Reinvestments represent pure efficiency. Every dollar they reinvest comes without additional marketing or advertising spend. These are investors you've already acquired.

Capitalize on Momentum: When you announce positive news, a partnership, milestone, or upcoming price change, investors can immediately act. The window of heightened motivation is no longer lost to friction.

No Action Required: This feature is automatically available for all deals. You don't need to enable anything or change your process.

When Investors Reinvest

Understanding investor motivation can help you maximize this feature. Investors typically reinvest in two scenarios:

Event-Driven Reinvestment: Something happens that increases urgency or perceived value:

  • An upcoming price change creates motivation to get more shares at the current price
  • A company milestone (partnership, product launch, regulatory approval) increases confidence
  • The round is closing soon, creating urgency to maximize their position
  • A bonus or perk announcement rewards those who increase their commitment

Organic Reinvestment: The investor's personal circumstances or conviction changes:

  • After investing, they researched more and became more confident in your opportunity
  • They initially invested conservatively but now have more funds available
  • They've decided to increase their allocation to your investment

This understanding suggests opportunities for you to proactively drive reinvestments through strategic communications. When you announce milestones, price changes, or special offers to existing investors, they can now act immediately.

What Issuers Will Notice

New UTM Tracking: In your Investor Table (the main investor management view), there is now a UTM value called "Reinvestment" that identifies when an investor has invested more than once in the same round. This allows you to:

  • See which investors have made multiple investments
  • Track reinvestment activity across your raise
  • Identify your most engaged and committed investors

Separate Investment Records: Each reinvestment creates a new, separate investment record. The original investment remains unchanged. This is important for record-keeping and compliance. You'll see each investment as a separate line item in your reporting.

Reinvestments Works Across All Offering Types

Whether you're running a Reg CF, Reg A, or Reg D offering, Reinvestments works the same way. There is no configuration or enablement required. The feature is available automatically for all active deals.

Streamline Fundraising Operations:
Get Answers Instantly and Keep Your Raise Moving

Running a capital raise is a critical process. Between regulatory requirements, platform workflows, and the everyday demands of growing your business, it's easy to spend time searching for answers. This month's second feature is designed to give you the support you need, exactly when you need it.

Introducing Benjamin: Your AI Assistant for Capital Raising

TLDR: Benjamin is DealMaker's AI assistant, available inside your DealMaker portal 24/7. Ask questions about fundraising regulations (Reg CF, Reg A, Reg D) and platform workflows, and get instant answers. When you or your team gets stuck on a question, you no longer have to wait for support or search through documentation. Benjamin provides immediate guidance so you can keep your raise moving.

Think of Benjamin as having a knowledgeable fundraising expert available whenever you need one. Whether you have a quick question about Reg CF investor limits, need help understanding a platform feature, or want guidance on configuring your offering flow, Benjamin is there to help.

Why Benjamin Matters for Your Raise

Capital raising involves navigating complexity sometimes. Regulatory requirements across Reg CF, Reg A+, and Reg D can create important questions. Platform workflows require guidance. And when you're in the middle of running a raise, waiting for answers means less momentum.

Benjamin addresses three critical challenges:

1.) Regulatory Complexity: Regulations like Reg CF, Reg A+, and Reg D have specific requirements around investor limits, accreditation, filing obligations, and compliance considerations. Benjamin provides instant, accessible guidance on these topics so you can move faster.

2.) Platform Navigation: Managing a raise in DealMaker involves many features and workflows. Benjamin acts as an interactive guide, helping you understand how to use features, configure settings, and complete tasks.

3.) Time Sensitivity: When you have a question, you need an answer now, not tomorrow. Benjamin is available 24/7, giving you instant support whenever you need it.
