Raise Capital
February 27, 2026
February Product Release: See Where Every Investor Stands. Get Capital Faster. Know Where Your Raise Is Headed.
In February, we shipped four new features upgrading your fundraising experience. The two you should know about first: Investment Status now shows you exactly where investors are in your pipeline (and why), so you can take action and close more funding. And DealMaker’s new Investor Verification AI now verifies investor documents in under five minutes and automatically tells investors exactly what to fix when there is an issue.
We also launched real-time campaign forecasting analytics for Marketing Services customers and a redesigned checkout flow for your investors that has been A/B tested and is already live.
This release article is organized around three of the key outcomes for fundraisers:
- Streamline Fundraising Operations: Know exactly where every investor stands and take action instantly
- Raise With Confidence: Move investors through verification in minutes with AI-powered compliance automation
- Amplify Your Raise: See your campaign’s trajectory in real time and convert more investors at checkout
Here’s what each new feature does, why it matters, and what to do next:
Streamline Fundraising Operations:
Complete Visibility Into Your Investor Pipeline
Running a capital raise means managing dozens (or hundreds, or thousands) of investors at different stages of the investment process. The faster you can identify where each investor stands and what they need, the faster you can move them through the funnel and close capital.
1. Investment Status
One column that tells you where every investor stands and what they need.
TLDR:
- What is Investment Status?
A new column in your Investments Table that gives each investor a single, clear Status label (like “Investment Started,” “Processed,” or “Complete”) paired with a new Details column providing contextual information and explaining exactly what is happening. - Why does it matter?
You can now scan your pipeline in seconds, see who needs attention, and prioritize accordingly. Your IR team gets a clear view of who needs what. - What should I do right now?
Log into your issuer dashboard and open your Investments Table. You no longer need to reach out to your Account Manager to ask “What’s going on with this investor?”
What You See
Two new columns work together. Investment Status is a high-level status label that categorizes where an investor currently sits in the investment funnel. Status Details adds the specifics. If the status is “Payment Failed,” the detail tells you why. If it is “Documentation Required,” the detail tells you exactly what’s missing. Together they give you a complete picture of every investor without looking elsewhere.

If you use DealMaker Transfer Agent (DMTA) with Auto Issuance enabled, you will also see a “Securities Issued” status confirming when securities have been officially issued.
How to Put Investment Status to Work
- Daily pipeline review. Open your Investments Table each morning and scan the Investment Status column. Identify any investors displaying as “Payment Failed” or “Needs to Pay.” A quick outreach can close them.
- Documentation follow-ups. Filter for investors with "Investment Started” and scan for “Documentation Required” in the Details column. These are investors who have already committed capital but need to submit additional documents. A clear message explaining what is needed resolves these quickly.
- Board and stakeholder reporting. Use the Investment Status view to provide your board or stakeholders with a clear summary of where your investor pipeline stands.
Coming soon: multi-filter support will let you layer multiple filters on the Investments Table simultaneously, making these status categories even more actionable.
Why This Matters for Your Raise
- A single source of truth for your investor pipeline. Investment Status consolidates multiple data points into one clear, unified view. You can glance at your Investments Table and immediately understand where every investor stands.
- Faster funnel progression. By making it immediately obvious what each investor needs, Investment Status enables you to proactively resolve blockers and move investors through the funnel faster.
- Retain more investors. Investors who have paid but still need to submit documents, or whose payment method failed, are now clearly flagged. Reach out to prevent lost interest and avoid refunds.
Next Steps
- Log in and open your Investments Table. Review your pipeline and identify investor opportunities to fuel your raise.
- Brief your IR team so they can incorporate the new column into daily outreach.

Raise With Confidence:
AI-Powered Investor Verification That Gets Capital to You Faster
When investors commit capital to your raise, every hour between their commitment and the finalization of their investment matters. The faster investors move through verification, the faster you get access to funded capital, and the less likely investors are to lose momentum or change their mind.
2. Investor Verification Bot: Auto-Approval & Auto-Feedback
Investor verification in minutes. Documentation issues resolved automatically.
TLDR:
- What is DealMaker's Investor Verification Bot?
Two new AI capabilities built into DealMaker’s existing verification process. Auto-Approval reviews investor documentation and advances qualifying investors to your sign-off step in minutes. Auto-Feedback sends personalized emails to investors whose documents need correction, telling them exactly what is wrong and what to fix. - Why does it matter?
The time between an investor committing capital and you being able to finalize that investment just got dramatically shorter. Investors who have documentation issues now get immediate guidance instead of waiting in a queue, which means fewer of them disengage before finishing.
What Changed
Until now, every investor whose documents needed deeper review was queued for human examination. DealMaker’s Investor Verification Bot now reads and evaluates all of an investor's submitted documentation, their subscription agreement, and their AML/KYC screening results, and it makes an approval determination in under five minutes.
When the bot has high confidence that an investor qualifies, it automatically provides approval and advances them to the countersignature phase without manual intervention.
When documentation is insufficient, the AI sends the investor a personalized email right away. This includes a specific message explaining what the issue is with their documents, what corrective action is needed, and what to upload.
Why This Matters
- Speed to capital. The window between investor commitment and finalization is where raises potentially lose momentum. Compressing that window to minutes keeps capital moving. Note: your own sign-off cadence still matters here. If you batch approvals weekly, faster verification gives you more investors ready when you sit down to review.
- Higher completion rates for flagged investors. Investors with documentation issues have historically been the hardest to bring back. They don’t know what went wrong, they don’t know how to fix it. Immediate, specific feedback gives them a clear path to completion while their intent is still fresh.
- 24/7 Operation. DealMaker’s Investor Verification Bot works continuously. Investors who submit documents at 11 PM on a Friday night do not have to wait until Monday for a review. Your verification process never sleeps.
Trust, Compliance, and Safety
DealMaker takes the compliance and safety infrastructure around these AI-powered features as seriously as the features themselves. Multiple layers of safeguards ensure that the verification process maintains the rigor and accountability that securities regulations demand.
The bot can only help, never hurt.
Auto-Approval is designed so that the bot can only approve investors. It is strictly prohibited from rejecting any investor. If the bot is uncertain or does not have sufficient confidence in a determination, the case is routed to a human reviewer for final assessment.
High-risk cases always receive human review.
Investors flagged with sanctions matches or other high-risk compliance indicators are always reviewed by a human. The bot is technically barred from making autonomous decisions on these cases, regardless of its confidence level.
Full human oversight remains in place.
DealMaker’s compliance team continues to review all investors that the bot flags as uncertain or not meeting requirements. The AI accelerates the process for qualifying investors while human oversight remains in place for everything else.
Next Steps
- No action required. These enhancements apply to your raise automatically.
- Watch your Investments Table (now with Investment Status) and see how quickly investors advance through verification.
- Questions? Reach out to your Account Manager.
Amplify Your Raise:
Real-Time Forecasting & Higher Checkout Conversion
In a competitive fundraising environment, you need every advantage to attract investors, keep them engaged, and convert interest into committed capital.
3. Deal Forecasting
Your campaign’s performance forecast data, built into DealMaker.
Note: This feature is for DealMaker Marketing Services customers. If DealMaker runs paid marketing campaigns for your raise and you work with a DealMaker client strategist, this is for you. If you are not sure, ask your Account Manager.
TLDR:
- What is Deal Forecasting?
Deal Forecasting is a new in-platform analytics view that gives you a clear, visual, always-up-to-date view of projected capital raised, projected ad spend, and projected ROAS. Your actual campaign performance (pulled from live ad platforms) is overlaid against your forecast so you can see how your raise is tracking at a glance. - Why does it matter?
You can now check your campaign’s trajectory any time without scheduling a call. The monthly view gives you clean, consolidated numbers that are useful for board prep. You and your DealMaker Strategist are always looking at the same committed forecast inside the same platform. - What should I do right now?
Log into your deal and open the Forecasting tab in the Analytics section.
What You’ll See With Deal Forecasting
Inside DealMaker’s Analytics section, Marketing Services customers will see a new “Forecasting” tab that shows you three things:
- Key Performance Indicators at a Glance. Projected total spend, projected total capital raised, and projected ROAS are displayed prominently at the top of the dashboard. These numbers give you an immediate read on where your campaign is headed.
- An Interactive Forecast Graph. A visual chart shows the full lifecycle of your raise, from your campaign start date through your end date. Two data series are overlaid on the graph: your actuals (real performance data pulled from live ad platforms) and your forecast (the projected performance generated by your DealMaker strategist’s model). You can toggle between daily, weekly, and monthly views to zoom in on short-term trends or zoom out for the big picture.
- A Continuous Timeline. The graph tells one cohesive story while displaying past performance through future projections. There is no gap, no reset, and no loss of historical context. You can see how your raise has been tracking over time and where it is projected to go.

This is a read-only view. Your Strategist manages the inputs, tests scenarios, and commits updates. This is intentional: it means the projections on your dashboard have been reviewed by the team managing your campaign before they reach you. When your strategist updates the forecast, your dashboard reflects it automatically.
Why Deal Forecasting Matters for Your Raise
- Self-serve visibility. Check in on your campaign’s performance any time you want. Your forecast is always current and always accessible.
- Board-ready numbers at a glance. The monthly view provides clean, consolidated data that you can confidently present to your board of directors, advisors, or investors.
- Stay aligned with your Strategist. You and your DealMaker Strategist are looking at the same committed forecast inside the platform.
- Everything in one place. Your investor data, compliance workflows, analytics, and now your campaign forecast all live inside DealMaker. No switching between platforms; your raise has one home.
Next Steps
- Log in to DealMaker and open the Forecasting tab to see your dashboard.
- Try the monthly view next time you are preparing a board update or investor report.
- Talk to your Strategist if you want to discuss what the projections mean for your campaign.
4. Guided Checkout Experience
TLDR:
We redesigned the investor checkout flow by introducing a clear, step-by-step navigation with a visual progress indicator. A/B testing demonstrated real improvement in investor conversion. Your investors will now see exactly where they are in the investment process, which steps they have completed, and how close they are to finishing.
What Changed
Every investor who clicks “Invest” on your raise landing page now experiences a guided, four-step checkout flow with two key visual enhancements:
- A Horizontal Progress Indicator. A progress bar at the top of the checkout shows all four investment steps. Each step is labeled, and as the investor moves forward, completed steps are marked with a checkmark. The current step is highlighted, and upcoming steps are visible so investors always know what to expect.
- Clear Step Separation. Within the checkout page, each step is now visually separated with distinct boundaries and numbered labels. At any point during checkout, the investor can clearly identify which section they are completing and where that section begins and ends.
Why This Matters for Your Raise
- Higher conversion rates. In online fundraising, each percentage improvement in checkout conversion can translate to tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars in additional capital raised.
- More capital from the same spend. More of the investors who begin your checkout process will now complete it.
- Fast check out. DealMaker’s checkout remains designed to be completed in under 60 seconds.
What These Features Mean Together
While each of these features delivers standalone value, they are even more powerful as a connected system.
- Investment Status
Makes your entire investor pipeline visible and actionable, so you can identify and resolve blockers instantly instead of letting investors sit unresolved. - Investor Verification Bot
Compresses the verification and compliance process, getting investors to countersignature faster and reducing the risk of drop-off after commitment. - Deal Forecasting
Gives you real-time visibility into where your raise is headed, so you can make informed decisions about budget, strategy, and timeline. - The Guided Checkout Experience
Converts more of the investors who reach your checkout page into completed commitments.
Together, these features create a faster, smoother path from the moment an investor discovers your raise to the moment their investment is finalized and funded. That is what DealMaker is built to deliver.
